My Finding Twitter Again Story

My Finding Twitter Again Story

Okay, so I never really lost Twitter.

I just didn’t spend a great deal of time with it.  My focus was way into SEO since 2010.

Then I took an amazing course.

In just 8 days I saw an increase of over 635% in Twitter profile visits from the previous month.  Those visiting were also interacting as my mentions soared to over 615% from the month previous.

#Amazing 8 day #Twitter stats ViralTNTeam achieved and everyone should see. Click To Tweet

For an instant update of what is taking place on my ViralTNTeam Twitter account.

I love SEO, even today, but gaining that type of traction that quickly with organic search, is simply not possible.

My Twitter Book

When I first discovered Twitter I wrote a book about it.  That led to local area seminars that I started providing.

Then, in 2010, the bottom fell out of our economy and I was forced to take a job in Michigan.

SEO!

My days of social media learning came to an abrupt halt.

After I left Michigan I remained in SEO because it seemed like the thing to do and I was getting great results.  Eventually, I left Corporate America behind and opened my own company.

Elance (now Upwork) made that possible for me.

Upside Down World

In 2015 Google changed Maps and Elance became Upwork.

The success that I had received on Elance just didn’t happen on Upwork.  My days of 10K monthly were quickly ended and that doesn’t even mention the fees that are charged by the new platform compared to the old.

Keeping an SEO business in good shape also takes a ton of work and I was quickly tiring.

That’s when I started making the transition into being a coach and public speaker for the field of marketing.  I’d still be doing SEO, but with one project, one focus, one mission.  Many outlets, but all focused onto a single event.

That’s what I’ve been doing over the last 6 months.

Twitter Training Changed Everything

Then I stumbled onto a Twitter training course that absolutely blew my socks off.  As mentioned, over 600% more eyes in less than 8 days as compared to the previous month left me amazed.

These weren’t just spam accounts either.

They were actively engaged tweeps that have been liking, retweeting and responding.  Be sure to see the time-stamps that all reference the 16th hour.  That’s a lot of activity for one hour in the first 8 days.

I guarantee that’s not possible on SEO

Oh, and last night I implemented some of my own secret sauce and can you guess what happened?

I received the following response.

It was one of many direct replies of people actively engaging with me on Twitter.

Here is a snap shot of the type of accounts that are opting into connecting with me.

    Hey Guy,

Thanks for sharing your experience with Twitter. It’s my favorite social platform and I love the fact that you can interact with so many famous names there! That said I haven’t delved much into it as per se.

I’ll be sure to check this course out.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Hi Guy,

Thanks for an interesting article. I must admit that I am like you used to be. I don’t really think about Twitter for business building. I’ve found it confusing and a little annoying when I joined up previously so I paid it no attention. Especially with SO MANY other platforms being lauded as the best way to boost your business.

BUT a 635% increase in profile visits and 615% increase in interaction in 8 days means I will have to pay more attention to little bird and make time to learn more!

    Amazing results!

    Thanks again,
    Phil.

      Hello Phil

Please look at my response to Ryan. You must have exactly the right mix between automated and manual posting to make this happen. What is happening for me with Twitter can happen for anyone that I work with. I don’t know of a lot of other people who are growing at more than a 500% rate within less than 30 days because of their work on Twitter. And as you can see from the above stats it is now even more than what it was. Things continue to explode.

I took a look at the picture you had listed and as an avid twitter user, I instantly got a few questions I’m hoping you’d answer.
Are all those tweets you sent automated and just asking random followers a question related to your business in the hopes that they will interact? To me, that seemed like a bit of a spam tactic and honestly, seems like a very robotic approach.
I appreciate what you have to say on this.

While I do use automation within my approach it is certainly not my approach to direct connects with potential people that I want to speak with. That is very much a manual factor into the equation which a very specific secret sauce to make happen. If you look at my Twitter stream you will see that it is exploding as a result.

Today at 5AM I had about 4950 followers and I am already above at 5,113 followers just 4 hours later. Apparently, momentum is building in a huge way.

More stats: Profile visits are up 685.8% from last month. That means that I have received 2,170 this month compared to 565 last month It should be noted that I was doing nothing to build Twitter last month.

      And it doesn’t stop there.

Mentions are up 753.8%.from last month.

What I am doing for me I can do for anyone.

NOTE: This is all based on free organic traffic. Not, paid traffic in any way on any platform including Twitter.

Gaining twitter followers is one thing. I don’t care if I have a million. If they don’t buy anything from me it means nothing.
How many of your twitter followers actually convert into referrals or conversions?
I never post my content on FB or twitter because I haven’t seen it yet. That’s just me and I’m happy for you if this works. Continued good luck with this strategy:)

I couldn’t agree with you more, or at least that is the way I used to feel. I still think that about Facebook but not Twitter.

I’ll admit I’ve yet to convert my first person into a client or customer, but sales is a numbers game. I had an account of less than 5000 when I started this which I never communicated with. Strange thing is, they never communicated with me.

Since last month, with this month being the month of change I’ve risen by over 800% and their are several days in the month before it is over.

People are liking what I’m doing.

People are Retweeting what I’m doing

But most importantly, people are replying to me and I am speaking to them in form of tweets. 100% honest conversations.

I’m not even to 2 weeks yet.

Can you show me results like that with SEO? I’ve been doing marketing for over 20 years and full time since 2010. I guarantee that I cannot get real live human beings to be actively talking with me via SEO in less than 2 weeks since launch. If that is something you can do then my hat is absolutely off to you.

If not, let’s set a time to talk about how to take your marketing strategy to the next level and beyond.

Great article! I’ve heard that twitter can be an awesome way to market, but I can’t believe that you have had that many visitors in such a short time frame!! It really makes you see how powerful twitter can be. I have an account now, but I’m not really that active on it. I think that I should really revamp my account and look at ways that I can utilise that platform.

    Thanks for the tips!

      Honestly speaking, neither can I.

      But it is true.

Just today my account grew by 200 people. That’s not even taking into account those who stopped following me but rather the size it was able to achieve.

Many numbers I shared in this article are now out-dated with even more engaging numbers taking there place. However, I’m not just talking about numbers but also active engagements from actual people. It really is quite amazing what power Twitter yields.

What is the best way to get followers on twitter? Is it through bringing them there from your website or do you need twitter to then bring people to your website? Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I’m up over 1000% in mentions now and kickick butt with the entire process.

It has taken me a lot of work to climb so fast but what I’m doing can absolutely be done on a scaled down basis.

There is no reason to take people to or away from Twitter. Just work with those who are ultra interested with you that are already on Twitter and let everything grow from there. When would be a good time for us to speak further?

I believe Twitter is a free PPC concept.

      How?

Because you can get in front of your audience at no cost much faster than with SEO.

I do realize that it is not PPC, nor would I suggest otherwise in reality. It just has the immediate value like PPC does.

If I were just starting out, instead of just returning, I’d absolutely put the power of Twitter above SEO. Especially when Twitter done right ranks organically on Google. Given that Twitter has more instant authority than any new Website would it just simply makes sense.

Wow sounds like you had a good experience with Twitter. I’m curious, so you only got 40 clicks? Seems like quiet an expensive program for a small amount of clicks. Although the impressions are high, that doesn’t really matter because Twitter’s engagement is so low. Also, I’m confused, is this your course? It sounds like you bought the course or program from someone but then it looks like you’re selling it on your site.

      Hello Luke

That was just in the very start what took place.

Everything that you do for free on the Web does take time. Social media marketing is not exempt from that fact.

But you do have a good point.

That’s why I wrote this article that comes with a much easier to work with price tag. The 5 points themselves that I share are absolutely free. Then there is some very affordable extended training.

BTW – Following the above advice Twitter’s engagement is not low. It all depends on how you interact with Twitter. The more other centered that you are the better your success will be.

FYI: I’m not selling the course, but I took the course. Now that I’m done with the course I’m opening up my knowledge plus the 20 years of marketing experience that I come with to the world.

How well does Twitter actually do for conversions? It has always seemed like a social media that was just a bunch of people posting about their life, worse than FB. How do you make money from it? It seems like it is a lot like FB in that even if you do make a lot of friends or pay for a lot of ads, it will always be won over by dog videos or embarrassing fails.

How well does anything convert? How much effort needs to be put into SEO before you start to see the conversions you were hoping for? I’ve been back to Twitter for less than 1 month and already have 2000% more engagement than when I was here previously.

Can I say that conversions are rolling through the door at the moment?

      No.

However, I can say that I am tapping into a constant source of people having real conversations with me that go beyond the pizza I had for breakfast. It’s because of how I am approaching Twitter that the difference is happening.
