As an Affiliate Marketer, it is important to keep the purpose of your mission in focus.
Because there will be days when you are tired, frustrated and discouraged. This is when it is easy to give up and let go of your dreams.
Which is why I am constantly reminding myself how affiliate marketing is why I live in a TeePee.
The purpose of this post is to provide you with 7 clear strategies for staying motivated during the hard times.
While there are certainly other reasons for my decision, which we will explore in a moment, I am sure that Barb Atkins has her own set of why’s. In fact, she has shared some with me.
Who is Barb Atkins and Why Should I Care
Barb is a new friend of mine that I met on Wealthy Affiliate.
She gave awesome its engine and invited me on board.
I need people like Barb on my team and so do you. In fact, we all do.
Because they help motivate us to stay focused on the bigger picture.
The only thing better than chocolate for an up and coming Affiliate Marketer is to build a network of allies you can trust and turn to when you need encouragement. That’s why I recommend getting to know her on WA as well as tapping into Barb’s Easy Money’s world.
7 Way’s to Stay Motivated During the Hard Times
I already shared one of my favorites. Build a network of allies that you can turn to when times of discouragement set in. That is the way to truly understand how to start your own affiliate marketing business success strategies. In my opinion, that is easy to do with Wealthy Affiliate on your side.
Another way to stay motivated is to watch the numbers, your numbers. If you don’t have things connected correctly, then this can lead to discouragement. However, since I joined Wealthy Affiliate this is what things look like for me and I believe most anyone (that includes you) can do the same.
Use power plugins like SumoMe to streamline everything as it relates to social media and email marketing. I personally haven’t found an integration resource that compares. What they are doing is amazing. I’m pleased to have them as part of my team. And, just in-case you haven’t heard, Google loves finding social media footprints as part of your project.
Set a plan you can stay with. It doesn’t matter how big or small of a bite you take if you stay consistent. It should be noted that the more consistency you can muster with your content release the faster everything will grow.
I personally am releasing 1 new high quality niche targeted completely original post that is between 500 and 1500 words daily for the first 90 days of this project. Do not try this at home, you might get hurt or worse, burnt out. However, the reason I’m doing this is I am serious about being serious with my success in affiliate marketing.
HOT TIP: Even if you produce only 1 article weekly you will still succeed if you stay consistent. Your success might take longer to achieve, but it is 100% possible. I personally would recommend 2 to 4 posts weekly. It’s not that difficult if you write from the gut and stay consistent.
Don’t over commit.
When I made a commitment to my level of content production in #4, it was with my eyes wide open. However, what I see people do that leads to discouragement is they have 4 or 5 good niche ideas and jump into them all at once.
Especially when you are getting started I highly recommend pouring all your efforts into just one project. That way you can maintain everything and safely grow forward by understanding how to avoid affiliate marketing scams of wasted time. As you see it come to life you can then know with confidence that you are on the right track and start building out the other sites accordingly.
Having confidence in what you are doing is an outstanding way of staying motivated.
Give yourself a break.
You’re just starting to move with your new plan for future success and I’m suggesting you take a break? Does that even begin to make sense?
Yes. Because when you return to your affiliate marketing work you will have renewed energy to get everything accomplished.
Another way you can give yourself a break is not kicking yourself to hard when you fail. Fail?
Failure is not an option.
But what do you do when you are asked to work overtime at your day job, your husband requires your time elsewhere and baby Joey is coming down with a cold. You know you haven’t completed your content creation processes that you set in motion and if you don’t do it tonight you will fail to stay consistent.
Just don’t make a habit of it and give yourself a break.
Build a team where you are weak.
I can build a WordPress website for my affiliate marketing business. In fact, with Wealthy Affiliate it is super simple. However, I let me Developer take care of that piece so I can stay focused on providing amazing content that has originality and quality that you require.
If you are already a Web Developer, then it would make little sense to find someone to do what you are already capable of doing in your sleep. Determine what areas you are weak in and implement a plan for outsourcing as it makes sense to you and your budget.
Sites I use for outsourcing include but are not limited to Upwork, Fiverr & IWriter.
How Affiliate Marketing Is My TeePee Why
Let’s conclude this article by starting at the beginning.
The beginning of a new day.
The beginning of a new way.
And the beginning of your future success in Affiliate Marketing.
So, what if you have failed with staying consistent in the past. Build a plan for your future and move.
That brings us to answering the question of why I moved into a TeePee with my wife and 8-year-old cat. There were many reasons for this despite the winter coming and the 5 feet of snow that can often be found in this area. One of those reasons is that we believe it is time to leave the cities, but that is an entirely different conversation.
As it relates to my affiliate marketing business it has helped to cut away all the other distractions which many have come to embrace as normal confusion. This way I can stay focused and motivated while pursuing our dreams.
I’m sure that not everyone would need to take as drastic a measure as what we have chosen to do for ourselves. However, the lesson that you can take away from this point is no matter what it takes build yourself a plan and strategy that will work for you and your success as you venture into the affiliate marketing world.
Maybe it will mean a bit more isolation as you get the momentum moving.
Maybe it will mean skipping going out for dinner for a while so that you can get the momentum moving.
Maybe it will mean saying “no” when you would like to say “yes” so that you can get the momentum moving.
Whatever it means, get the momentum moving and stick to a consistent plan like glue.
